For 30 years, Bebat has been giving used batteries a new life, by collecting them, sorting them, and providing for their reuse or recycling. The metals and valuable materials are removed and reused as raw materials. All other streams are of course also processed properly. We are an environmental organisation with collection results at world level and we strive to recycle more and better. We implement the extended producer responsibility of battery producers.

Business Controller for Bebat Group

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS BUSINESS CONTROLLER
You analyse financial data and proactively signal trends, deviations and risks.
You contribute to the development of multi-year plans, budgets and investment decisions, and translate these into strategic insights.
You advise the management of Bebat and Sortbat to optimise business processes, reduce costs, increase profitability (operational + commercial + financial excellence) and achieve future goals.
You develop business cases or evaluate plans together with the group's management (e.g. profitability of business units, make-or-buy decisions, optimisation of supply chain costs, strategic files, …).
You act as a sparring partner, building on accounting data and looking ahead to make the organisation successful.
You are the key figure in selecting and measuring KPIs to track progress towards objectives.
As financial controller, you ensure the stability and accuracy of the current financial processes and provide the hard figures needed for strategic decisions.
You are the ERP key-user for the Finance team.
You support the Finance team during the closing cycle in various accounting tasks and contribute to accurate reporting for the different Bebat group entities.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
Master's degree in commercial sciences or economics (business economics / commercial engineer).
At least 5 years of relevant experience as a business controller.
You are particularly analytical, dive into the details but maintain your helicopter view.
You are highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, macros and power pivots).
You are comfortable with ERP packages and BI (Business Intelligence) for reporting. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central) as ERP is a strong asset.
You communicate clearly and convey your message in a non-technical but concrete way.
You work closely with the Finance team and all other departments (operations, sales & marketing, supply chain, HR, general management).
You report to the CFO of Bebat Group.
